We travel by coach on either a Wednesday or Friday crossing the channel with P&O  Ferries. You visit Belgium for Tobacco or Cigarette purchases as well as Pidou Cash and Carry for Alcohol and Sundry purchases in Calais.

Having a very strong year in 2015 we push forward into 2016 with every Wednesday and Friday throughout the year.

We do not offer insurance services but do suggest that passengers ensure they have sufficient cover for the length of the excursion as well as making sure they have a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which may offer reduced cost or even free emergency medical treatment within the EEA.

Passengers are reminded that any tobacco purchases made MUST be carried on their person in the saloon of the vehicle, only Beers, Wines and Spirits will be carried in the hold.  Any boxes that are presented for loading and are NOT factory sealed will be opened and checked to ensure tobacco is not present.  Any bags, taped items will also be checked by our drivers to ensure compliance.

The service is no smoking and alocohol may not be consumed on board. Any passenger presenting for boarding intoxicated will be refused travel, if any passenger represents for boarding at any point once the excursion has departed will be refused reboarding.  If any passenger is found to be consuming alcohol on board then they will be put off the vehicle at the next available safe stopping place (inc on the continent).

Alcohol and tobacco - The Official HMRC guidelines

There are no limits on the amount of duty and/or tax paid alcohol and tobacco that you can bring into the UK as long as they are for your own use or gifts and are transported by you.
If you are bringing in alcohol or tobacco goods and we have reason to suspect they may be for a commercial purpose, an officer may ask you questions and make checks. For example, about:

• the type and quantity of goods you have bought
• why you bought them
• how you paid for them
• whether all your goods are openly displayed
or concealed
• how often you travel
• how much you normally smoke or drink
• any other relevant circumstances.

We are more likely to ask you questions if you
have more than:

• 800 cigarettes
• 200 cigars
• 400 cigarillos
• 1kg tobacco
• 110 litres of beer
• 90 litres of wine
• 10 litres of spirits
• 20 litres of fortified wine (for example,
port or sherry).

Please note that the country where you buy tobacco may have its own laws on how much tobacco you can buy or keep. If you are not sure, please check with that country’s authorities before you buy.
